Day 1: Arrival and transfer to queen Elizabeth national park.

Upon arriving at Entebbe airport, our professional guide from gorilla safaris africa will be ready to meet you. Welcome you warmly, do meet and great, and then give you a briefing about the 5 days Uganda birding and gorilla safari.

Your trip starts with a scenic transfer to Uganda’s second largest national park (Queen Elizabeth National Park).  Pass through tea estates, plantations and many more. En route meal will be taken along the way.

In the evening enjoy dinner at your lodge and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game drive and evening boat cruise.

Your day starts with a heavy delicious breakfast before heading to Kasenyi sector for a game drive. Spot plenty of wildlife including the elephants, lions buffaloes, spotted hyenas, , waterbucks, Uganda Kobs as well as bird species like African white backed vulture, hooded vulture, palm nut vulture, Rupell’s griffon vulture, lappet faced vulture, brown snake eagle, Wahlberg’s eagle, African crake, bateleur, martial eagle, grey kestrel, long created eagle, crowned plover, etc.

After your experience in the wild, you will drive back to your lodge, have lunch then do an evening boat cruise along Kazinga channels. Enjoy views of buffalo, crocodiles, and numerous birds, including yellow-billed storks, kingfishers, African skimmers, and others.

5 days Uganda Birding and Gorilla safari

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi passing via Ishasha sector

Wake up and have breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Bwindi passing via Ishasha. This time, you will pass through Ishasha sectora popular place among the few places that reside tree climbing lions in Africa.

Check-in at a hotel at the Ishasha sector for lunch. In the evening, go out for a game drive in search of the tree-climbing lions and bird watching.

 Enjoy the calm sunset game drive and bird watching before returning to the hotel. Some of the bird species here include vultures, eagles, cisticola, and others.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Birdwatching.

There is no moment that nourishes, like an experience of gorillas in their natural habitat. Day 4 takes you deep into the rain fortes of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.After taking a Cozy break fast at your lodge, you will drive to the park headquarters for briefing to follow while you are with the gorillas.

Ready with your trekking gears you will dive deep into the jungle, view the mountain gorillas for one hour as they play, eat, behave, hunt and many more.

In the afternoon, you will embark on a birding safari, in Bwindi one of the best bird watching destinations in Africa. Bwindi forest is a good Uganda Birding safari destination. It hosts 23 of the 24 Albertine rift endemics.

 Some of the birds to see here include the Rwenzori Batis, Oriole Finch, black-billed turaco, red-throated Alethe, white-bellied robin chat, and very many others. You return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer back to Entebbe.

On the last day of your 5 days Uganda birding and gorilla safari, have breakfast at the hotel then board your safari vehicle for a return drive to Kampala or Entebbe. The drive starts early due to the long-distance arriving in the evening. Drop off at the place of residence or hotel in Kampala or Entebbe.
