Detailed itinerary for 12 days gorillas and migration safari
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by our company guide who will brief you about your 12 days gorillas and migration safari. After the meet and greet you will be transferred to your lodge in Arusha for resting, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day2: Transfer to Tarangire National Park and game drive
You will depart Ngorongoro early in the morning after breakfast in order to reach Tarangire National, which is home to massive termite mounds and ancient baobab trees. This park is renowned for its wide variety of birds, substantial elephant population, and breathtaking landscapes. Elephants, lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetahs, mongooses, buffaloes, and baboons are some of Tarangire’s most fascinating creatures. Following the conclusion of our wildlife drive, we will go to Arusha, where you will stay the night and have dinner.
Day 3: Transfer to Ngorongoro and game drive
You will start your transfer to Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast. You will get the opportunity to see the migration of wildebeest throughout your drive. One of the largest volcanic calderas in the world, the 600-meter-deep Ngorongoro crater is home to over a million different species of wildlife, including the endangered black rhino. Zebras, buffalos, giraffes, elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and other animals are among the other animals. You will check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay following a long
Day 4: Transfer to Serengeti National Park.
Very early in the morning you will have breakfast, your guide will pick you up and embark on your journey to Serengeti plains. You will have an en lunch during you transfer you will enjoy the breathtaking views of Seronera Valley. When you reach the lodge, you will check in and have dinner and relax.
Day 5: Moring and evening Game drive
Breakfast will be served very early in the morning, and the lodge will pack a lunch for you to enjoy while on the game drive. The drive starts in the north, close to the Mara River, where you may be able to spot wildebeest. Elephants, hippos, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, buffalos, hyenas, and lions are among the other animals you may see. You will go around the Seronera River, where the majority of animals congregate to drink, and stop by the Maasai Kopjes. You will return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation following the game drive.
Day 6: Game drive in Kogatende in Serengeti
In order to witness the big migration as the wildebeests cross the Mara River, you will start your trip with an early morning drive to the river after breakfast. Waiting for the wildebeest crossing along the river at Kogatende Area is part of your journey. Even though there are crocodiles and a strong current, zebras and wildebeest cross the river. You’ll carry on with your game drive after this once-in-a-lifetime experience. You will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay following the wildlife drive.
Day 7: Morning game and transfer to Arusha
Very early in the morning you will have breakfast after which you will head for a morning game drive and witness the breathtaking sun rise. Then your guide will take you to Kogatende Airstrip to board your flight to Arusha. Upon arrival you will check into your hotel for the night.
Day 8: Flight to Kigali
After breakfast our company guide will take you to the Kilimanjaro International Airport for your transfer to Kigali. When you reach Kigali, you will be picked up by our company guide who will take you to your hotel to relax and an overnight stay.
Day 9: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park
Following breakfast, you will be picked up by our business guide from your Kigali lodge and taken to Mgahinga National Park, which is located in the southwest of Uganda, where you will engage in gorilla trekking. The endangered mountain gorillas can be found in Mgahinga. Depending on traffic, the trip from Kigali to Mgahinga takes three to four hours. You have the opportunity to take in the stunning vistas of Rwanda, the land of a thousand hills, throughout this journey. You will stop for lunch on the way to your destination. You will check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay following the lengthy trip.
Day 10: Gorilla trekking and Nature Walk
You will be transported to the park headquarters to get a briefing on how to behave around mountain gorillas after you have woken up and eaten breakfast. You will then be divided into eight-person groups for each gorilla family, and under the supervision of a qualified ranger guide, you will spend three to five hours tracking for your gorilla group in the verdant forest. As you play and leap among the tree branches, you will be able to take in the stunning views of the surrounding area, birds, and primates. Finally, you will get to meet the mountain gorillas, spend an hour photographing them, and witness their play and mutual grooming. You will return to your accommodation after the trek to eat lunch and get ready for the Nature Walk.
Day 11: Transfer to lake Bunyonyi and boat ride
You will have breakfast after which you will head to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat ride. The lake is home to 19 islands and a number of bird species. After the boat cruise you will head back to your lodge to rest and an overnight stay.
Day 12: Transfer to Kampala
After your breakfast, drive back to Kampala using the Masaka-Mbarara highway arriving in Mbarara For lunch there after continue to Kampala or Entebbe for your outgoing flight back home or to your nest destination
