During your 5 -day Gorillas and wildlife Safari, you will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda for game drives and a boat ride down the Kazinga Channel a 32km long natural channel that links Lake George and Lake Edward. With more than 700 bird species, this channel contains the greatest concentration of hippopotamus in the world.   A boat cruise allows you to see plenty of animals together with the game drive. You will then have the opportunity to trek one of the habituated mountain gorilla families in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.  Embark today on this thrilling adventure.

Detailed itinerary for the 5-day Gorillas and Wildlife safari.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe and transfer to Bwindi National Park.

After landing at Entebbe international airport, you will do the meet & greet with our company representative, who will pick you up from your hotel early enough to give you time to get to your destination its quite long, approximately 8 to 9 hours.

Drive from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a stopover at the Equator for breakfast and a photography experience.  En route ,lunch will be taken at Igongo cultural centre in Mbarara. After you will proceed with your drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a home to half the total number of gorillas in the whole world, arriving in the late evening.

Check in at your lodge, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi np.

Morning.

After breakfast, you’ll be taken to the parks head quarters for a briefing at 8 a.m. The briefing entails park rangers equipping trekkers with vast knowledge about the proper conduct to behave with the gorillas in their natural habitat.

Trek and Observation.

You will depart for your gorilla trek into the indigenous forest in search of the Gorillas. This trek allows you to immerse yourself in the strange but intimate part of the rainforest, where you will hear live calls of colourful birds and plenty of monkey species. Upon encountering these gentle giants, only one hour is offered for interaction. This one hour includes taking flashless photos and also viewing these apes go about their daily activities (like feeding, sleeping, breastfeeding, etc)

Afternoon

Your guide will drive your back to your lodge to have a tasty lunch after your gorilla trekking experience.

Evening

 Relax at your lodge, enjoy dinner and overnight.

Day 3:  Transfer from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After a tasty breakfast in the morning, depart to Queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda’s second largest park and its composed of beautiful lakes, forests, savannah grasslands, and wetlands.  We will enter through the Ishasha sector, an area known for its rare tree-climbing lions. Other animals to see include African elephants, Ugandan kobs, giraffes and many more. On a lucky day, you will be able to see many animal and bird species.  From here, drive to the northern part of the park to your lodging option for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Game drive and evening boat cruise.

Get a cup of coffee and get ready to discover the amazing wonders of Queen Elizabeth National Park.  Your morning starts with a game drive along the Kasenyi tracks to look for species such as lions, Cape buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, waterbucks, spotted hyenas, mongoose, kobs, and, if you’re lucky, the leopard.

Come back for lunch, relax, and get ready for another fun adventure in the afternoon. You will enjoy a one-of-a-kind 2 -hour boat tour on the Kazinga Channel, a natural water channel that links both Lake George and Lake Edward. Kazinga channel has had more than 606 different kinds of birds seen in this park, especially around the Kazinga channel. Some of the animals to see on a boat cruise include crocodiles, hippos, buffalo, monkey species and many more.   After the boat cruise, drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Depart from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Entebbe.
Very early in the morning as you watch the sun rise in the woods. Wake up, eat breakfast, and check out of from your lodging. From here, head to Entebbe with a stopover for lunch. Upon reaching Entebbe, you bid farewell to your guide and then fly out. Safe travels.
