Trip Highlights
Day 1:Arrival and transfers to Volcanoes National Park

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met and greeted by our friendly driver
guide who will brief you and take you through your trip plan. Before you know it, you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park, where you will check in at Gorilla Lodge for relaxation, overnight stay and dinner.
Accommodation: Tiloreza eco lodge.
Meal plan: Full board.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking at Volcanoes & Iby’Iwacu visit.
On this day, you will have a great time meeting with the mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park. After a tasty breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the lodge. You will head fora briefing by ranger guides at 7:30 and at 8:30 am with a packed lunch. You will start the trek to hunt for the gorillas, and after finding them, you will spend a maximum of 1 hour. This walk can take 4-5 hours, depending on where you meet the gorillas. The park is steep, so it is a real hiking and being physically fit is recommended. After lunch, you will be taken to the Iby’Iwacu community, the gorilla guidance community. This afternoon, you will visit the Iby’Iwacu community,y where you will be introduced to the traditional Rwanda through traditional dances, poems, dressing codes, among others.

Meal plan: Full board
Day 3: Golden monkey trekking & transfer to Kigali.
After breakfast, you will proceed to the park briefing point for a simple briefing about the dos and don’ts of golden monkey trekking. This will take us through the edges of the forest via potato fields, and the briefing will be conducted in the same place where the usual Kinigi park office is located. This means the trek will take us 3-4 hours. After the trek, we shall return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and transfer back to Kigali for your flight back home.
