DAY 1: Pick up from Kigali Airport/Hotel and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Morning/Transfer

 In the morning, our knowledgeable driver guide will collect you from Kigali International Airport or any hotel in Kigali to start your adventure to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way, you will pause at the Genocide Memorial.

Afternoon/Travel

The journey is awe-inspiring, guiding you through a region of countless hills to the Pearl of Africa. You will enter Uganda via the Katuna border and pause in Kabale town for lunch before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Evening/Accommodation

DAY 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Morning/Briefing

Following breakfast and ensuring your packed lunch is ready, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking.

Your guide will review all the essential dos and don’ts for interacting with mountain gorillas before taking you to the starting point of the gorilla family.

 It is important to note that the allocation of gorilla families is based on your interests and fitness level. Please inform your guide of your preferences, and he will make an effort to request the gorilla family you wish to visit before you embark on your journey into the wilderness.

• The Trekking experience.

You will be taken to the tracking station to start your gorilla adventure. Depending on where the gorillas are located, trekking can last approximately 30 minutes to three-quarters of a day, so be ready for either scenario.

Your guide will share information about the trees, birds, and other wildlife in the jungle until you reach a particular gorilla family. You will have just one hour to photograph and observe the mountain gorillas as they engage in their daily routines before heading back to the park headquarters to collect your certificate.

• Afternoon/Transfer

You will then return to Kigali, Rwanda, crossing the Katuna border for your overnight stay in Kigali town or for your international departure flight.
