Day 1 of 12 Days Ultimate Uganda Safari: Pick up from the airport

On arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be met by your guide and have a chance to tour the Entebbe botanical gardens and see both orange and golden-backed weavers, Pied Hornbill, Ross’s Turaco, Snowy-headed Robin-chat, Great Blue Turaco, Yellow-throated Leaf love, Gymnogene. Then proceed to Lake Victoria Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 of 12 Days Ultimate Uganda Safari: Drive to Murchison Falls

Wake up very early in the morning for breakfast and start the long journey to Murchison Falls national park with a stop over at Ziwa rhino sanctuary, the proud home of the only wild rhinos in Uganda, for lunch and rhino trekking, then proceed to Murchison Falls national park for dinner and over night at Paraa safari lodge.

Day 3 of 12 Days Ultimate Uganda Safari: Game drive day

Rise up very early in the morning before 7 am and have breakfast, then move into the park for a game drive where you will see some animals returning to their dens from their night prey, such as the big five elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, hyenas, warthogs, alibi, and silver buck. Then, move to the hotel for lunch, refreshments, and go for an afternoon boat cruise and hike to the top of the falls, and then, afterwards, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 of 12 Days Ultimate Uganda Safari: Kaniyo-Pabindi tour.

Still in Murchison Falls NP, we shall have to explore the southern part of this park, which has the Budongo forest, which harbors a multitude of flora and fauna. It also has a chimpanzee that can be viewed at will. From here, we shall proceed to the Kaniyo-Pabindi ecotourist site. At this time, it will be already evening and time to retire to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 of 12 Days Ultimate Uganda Safari: Drive to Kibale.

Wake up very early in the morning and have breakfast, then, coupled with a packed lunch, head to the Kibale forest on the outskirts of western Uganda. Since it’s a day-long journey, you will reach there in the evening and then check in at a mountain view hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking-Drive to Queen Elizabeth NP

Rise up very early for breakfast with a packed lunch and proceed to the forest for chimpanzee tracking. Reach there in time for the general briefing and allocation of groups and forest rangers. Then head to the forest for the actual primates tracking, beginning from where they were the previous day until you get to them. You will find them feeding their young ones, playing on the tree branches and taking their photos for one hour.

Then from here you head on the long journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Have a stopover at the Uganda Equator for photos and relaxation, then afterwards embark on the journey to the park, reaching late in the evening for dinner and night at Mweya safari lodge.

Day 7 of 12 Days Ultimate Uganda Safari: Adventure in Queen Elizabeth

 Rise up very early in the morning before 7 amand have breakfastt, then move intothe park fo game drive. This early morning drive will enable you to catch a glimpse of some animals returning to their dens from their nightpreys. Such animals will include the big five elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, hyenas, warthogs, alibi, silver buck

Day 8: Coffee Tour & Game Drive in the Ishasha Sector

This morning you will go on a Coffee Tour to explore the transformation of coffee beans into delicious Ugandan coffee. The process is all done by hand, by local community members. Sampling some of the coffee will make for a good start to your day, and buying some coffee to take home will make a good souvenir as well as support the local community.

The southern part of the park is our next destination. It is famous for its tree-climbing lions. While you will often see lion cubs climbing trees for fun, adults very rarely do this. Instead, they like to spend the hot afternoon snoozing on a shaded fig tree branch. The raised elevation exposes them to a nice breeze as well as provides an escape from the bothersome tsetse flies below. While you are on the hunt for the tree climbing lions, don’t miss the stunning scenery and excellent bird life in this remote spot of the park.

Day 9 of 12 Days Ultimate Uganda Safari: Relocate to Bwindi forest

Wake up very early in the morning and embark on the long drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth NP known as Ishasha, having lunch at the Ishasha River. Move into Gorilla Resort for overnight.

Day 10 of 12 Days Ultimate Uganda Safari: Gorilla tracking

After a morning heavy breakfast and a packed lunch, you will transfer to the park offices for a briefing and then, later on, at 9:00 am, commence the gorilla trek along the tracks in the thick forest searching for these great apes. Depending on the movement of these gentle giants, the trek might take between 2-6 hours before you encounter the gorillas. Though the walk is tiresome, meeting these great apes and spending some time with them while looking deep into their expressive brown eyes is an exhilarating and heartbreaking wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 11 of 12 Days Ultimate Uganda Safari: Drive to Entebbe

 Wake up very early in the morning and have your breakfast. Thenafterwards,s drive to Entebbe through Kampala markets and stalls. Since it is a day’s longjourney,y we shall get into Kampala in theevening,g very exhausted andtired,d for dinner and overnight at Lake Victoria Hotel.

Day 12 of 12 Days Ultimate Uganda Safari: Last day of safari

Wake up very early in the morning and have your breakfast, then proceed to Ngamba Island. This is also the home of a chimpanzee sanctuary excursion. You will be in position to view both resident and migrating rare bird species, which include; shoe bill, marabou stalk, pelicans, horn bill, and return to the hotel for lunch. This will mark the end of the safari.
